What should my kid wear, play with and where do I go?

My daughter is finally at the age where she can dress herself pretty much head to toe without much help!!  Yeah!! Of course I shouldn't say head because the brushing of the hair is still a problem, but otherwise, she does pretty well.  She pulls her little chair over to her closet and reaches up, pulls the shirt down and picks out sometimes matching pants and sometimes not.  Either way, she's got clothes on and I really don't care much what it looks like.

We are beyond lucky in the fact that she receives hand-me-downs from her cousin so we don't spend hardly any money on clothes.  Once in a while we need to, but for us it's fairly rare.

I went through the whole phase of thinking Gymboree and Children's Place clothing were what made my kid styling'!  She definitely is when she wears these brands of clothes, but I kinda like to see how she puts an outfit together all by herself to express her own personal style.

If you are into getting great discounts on clothes, though, you should shop the Just Between Friends Sale.  This sale is completely awesome for used clothes, toy's, furniture and even maternity clothes.  It's nation wide so you can log in to see where the best Just Between Friend (JBF) sales are close to you.  Plus, they are every 6 months, so you can pre-shop for your next season.

You can even find cute holiday outfits and practically brand new shoes for just a few bucks.  If you work the sale, consign or even are a new mommy you can get in early and snag the best of the best.  One year I went early as a new mommy and snagged as much Gymboree off the racks that I could.  I walked out of there with a few hundred dollars worth of clothes for less than $100 bucks.  I bought more than I needed, and learned my lesson, but the clothes were so cute and cheap I had a little shopping moment!!

We've gotten practically new toys (that are now destroyed by my son).  How he is able to destroy toy's that have been used two or three times by different kids in a matter of two seconds is beyond me.  But, I don't really care because the cost was so cheap!

If you are looking for kids items on the cheap check this sale out!  You won't regret it!

  1. Yes, I also shopped JBF as a new mommy and was so impressed by the selection and prices. I am not a style person, so I am pretty easy when it comes to clothes selection. I have also been lucky that we get tons of hand me downs from cousins and through my mom's club. My mom also prides herself on buying clothes for Cleo from Goodwill, ARC, Ross, and TJ Maxx. She gets some crazy good deals.
