Kourtney Kardashian Mommy Blog

Going through my Twitter account this morning I found this new Mommy Blog by Kourtney Kardashian.

http://www.eonline.com/news/new_web_series_kourtney_kardashians/276565

I do admit, of all the Kardashian girls, she is my favorite.  She definitely proves her business savvy, at least from what I can see.

This blog is neat because it's video.  Very cool idea.

But, did I just hear her say "shoes make your kids outfit".  Yes, this is probably true, but when was the last time I could actually keep my shoes on my two year old kid??  Hmmmm. NEVER!!

I'm definitely the dorky mom in this video who completely tries to put on a cute outfit for my kid and throw a pair of CROCS on them!  Actually, I'm not even sure I try hard to put the cute outfit on my kid.  Yesterday Elle wore her Halloween shirt and high-water sweatpants to school, because she picked it out herself.  She was very proud of herself and I was proud too!  Confidence is everything and I'd rather her be confident than stylish.

Does Mason really like wearing bow ties and 3 layered shirts?  Really??  My kids won't even wear a sweater over a shirt.  They ask, why am I wearing two shirts?  I'm hot mom.  Kids have the highest metabolisms on the face of the Earth and do not need all these clothes on them.  Who cares what they are wearing as long as it's covering all the right parts.  I say, "Let's just put some clothes on so we can go!"

I honestly do not have the time to lace shoes, or even fit their growing feet in to a cute (and usually more pricy) pair of shoes that they are going to grow out of in 2 months anyway.  I am happy to hear she has promoted the new H&M because the prices are more reasonable.

But, I'm still all about my previous blog on shopping consignment!  This seems more realistic for people and the fast growing kids.

So, how on Earth is she keeping these shoes on her kid???

Every day I go into pick up my daughter from school, the children's little brothers and sisters are usually not even wearing shoes!!  A majority of them have bare feet!  All us mom's and dad's there seem to be in the same boat!  The kids kick off their shoes and and sometimes proceed to throw them at my head while I'm driving.  How many pairs of shoes do I find thrown across the car every day.  All of them!!

If I do go the lace route I get the constant kicking on the back of my car seat while driving screaming at the top of his lungs to get the shoes off.

I can barely keep socks on my kids let alone shoes!

So, sorry Kourtney.  I'm not sure this is realistic.  As stylish as little Mason is I think I'll stick with the CROCS.  Dorky mom and all!

My daughter on the other hand is 5 and does have some pretty stylish shoes.  But what a pain in the butt these are!  The ones she loves have laces and if the teacher at school ties them in double, triple knots one more time so I have to spend 5 minutes trying to untie them after school, I going to go nuts!

Maybe my son Elle and David can become stylish kids when he can tie their own shoes.  We seem to think their cute enough as is, so I think my time and money will be spent elsewhere.

P.S.  My son right now is wearing the same Toy Story shirt for the past three day's, that he got as a hand-me-down from his cousin.  He thinks he's pretty cool!  I think so too!

  1. Alex would wear the same shirt for days. He now wants to wear the same underware. I had to go by backups,so he could have clean underware.
Also, Kourtney K. seems to be teaching her child to be superficial, just like the rest of her family.
